The rules about the division of assets are complex but you need not end up in court
to decide the final outcome. Indeed, at Everys we encourage settlement of matters
out of court which saves you time and money not to mention the emotional stress.
We recognize that most people prefer to have solicitors simply to advise them on
an amicable settlement and a fair division and to carry out the negotiations on
their behalf, therefore avoiding confrontation and hassle. Very few cases end up
being argued in front of a judge.
If court proceedings do have to be issued, Everys can represent you and guide you
through the court process whilst still looking to reach settlement.
Even where you agree on the allocation of finances, it may still be necessary to
obtain the court’s approval for the agreement.
If an amicable settlement cannot be reached, our family lawyers will work with you
to achieve the best possible result in court. We will explain the possible outcomes
and we will always keep you informed of the progress of your case.
