The government announced the following changes regarding Home Information Packs on 20th May 2010:

• All properties marketed from 21st May 2010 will NOT require a HIP, but any properties already on the market continue to require a HIP.
• An Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) will continue to be required and this must be ORDERED prior to marketing.
• EPCs will now be valid for 10 years.
