It’s Hospiscare’s Make a Will Week (14 – 18 May)

Everys solicitors in Devon are participating in Hospiscare’s annual ‘Make a Will Week’ which begins today.

The campaign is designed to encourage as many people as possible to make plans for their dependents when they die.  As many as 7 out of 10 of us do not have a Will which means our dependents can be left at the mercy of intestacy rules.

Hilary Quantick, Head of Wills, Trusts and Probate for Everys said: “Nobody wants to think about their own death but making a Will is so very important when it comes to making life easier for your dependents. It can also help to substantially reduce the amount of tax payable.”

This week a team of Everys solicitors will prepare Wills in exchange for donations to Hospiscare. The firm has produced a simple help sheet and Will questionnaire which can be downloaded from their website and completed before an appointment with a specialist solicitor. A draft Will is prepared for approval after a meeting.
