Partnerships

When setting up an agricultural or rural business as a partnership with an individual or another business, it is vital you choose the partnership to suit your needs. Everys business and rural affairs solicitors will assess your requirements in full and will advise which model will work best for you as this could save you considerable expense as the business matures.

Our lawyers will advise you on the options available – a partnership or limited liability partnership (LLP) - and what these mean in terms of your ongoing liabilities and obligations. We will negotiate the partnership agreement on your behalf, seeking to strike a balance between protecting your interests and achieving a viable solution for your business.

In short, a partnership means all partners are jointly and severally liable for any debts incurred by the partnership while, with an LLP, the partnership itself is legally responsible for any debts of the partnership, subject to any personal guarantees signed by its individual members.
