Good Divorce Week 2025:  Promoting Positive Respectful Separation

By Donna Hart

This year, Resolution’s Good Divorce Week once again shines a light on how families can separate in a more positive and respectful way.  The campaign highlights the importance of reducing conflict, putting children first and encouraging couples to find constructive solutions without relying solely on the already overstretched family court system.

At Everys, we share Resolution’s commitment to helping separating couples move forward with dignity, clarity and respect.  We understand that the end of a relationship can be one of life’s most difficult experiences, but it doesn’t have to mean confrontation or hostility.

Our Head of Department, Donna Hart, brings a wealth of experience to every case.  In addition, she is also a family mediator helping couples reach agreements on issues such as finances, property, and arrangements for children – all without the need to go to court.  Mediation provides a safe neutral space for open discussions empowering families to make their own decisions rather than having them imposed by a Judge.

Alongside Donna, many members of our Resolution-aligned team are dedicated to achieving solutions outside of court. We believe in collaboration, communication, and creative problem-solving, whether through mediation, negotiation, or other forms of alternative dispute resolution (ADR). Our goal is to help clients reach fair, lasting outcomes that support their family’s future well-being.

Good Divorce Week is a timely reminder that separation doesn’t have to mean conflict. With the right support, it’s possible to part ways constructively, preserving respect and focusing on what truly matters – the well-being of everyone involved.
