National Apprenticeship Week

National Apprenticeship Week

National Apprenticeship Week 5th February – 11th February 2024

With apprenticeships becoming a popular alternative to going to university, National Apprenticeship Week is an excellent time to hear about the experiences of current apprentices.

Rosie-Mae Isaac is an Apprentice Administrator working in our Family team at Exeter. She joined Everys in May 2023 and began her apprenticeship in July 2023. She assists Donna Hart, the Head of Family.

Here, Rosie-Mae speaks about the benefits of working whilst studying and the valuable experience she has gained as an apprentice.

“It has been almost seven months since I enrolled in my Business Administrator Apprenticeship here at Everys. Something that I am really grateful for is how the firm has invested time in me and my studies and given me their ongoing support during my apprenticeship.

“So far, the apprenticeship has allowed me to expand my knowledge of self-development, company culture, systems within the organisation, and planning and managing projects, which I know has aided, and will continue to aid, my progression within the firm.

“Being the only apprentice at Everys, I would definitely urge others to consider this route. This is because the apprenticeship will enhance knowledge, not just through formal studies but also through the practical experience you receive from it.  It is also great to be able to earn money whilst studying and gain knowledge of the business world.

“The firm is very accommodating when it comes to the career progression of staff and I know that the continuous support I receive from my colleagues will boost my progression during the course of my apprenticeship and employment here”.
