Professional Negligence Solicitors In The South West

We are only human and everyone makes mistakes. If you have relied upon someone else’s advice and, as a result, you have suffered a loss, then you may be entitled to compensation. We can investigate whether the professional’s advice was negligent and, more importantly, whether that advice caused the loss that you have sustained.

If you are not sure of your legal position, contact us to discuss matters and we will talk through your options and the way forward.

ACCOUNTANTS

Accountants frequently give advice to people so that they can make informed decisions on what to do in their future. For example, during the course of a business transaction, you may seek advice on the value of that business prior to purchase or, on a divorce, accountants may give advice on the value of a business asset to one or the other. If that advice is relied upon and is then found to be wrong, it may well be that you have a claim against the accountant for the losses sustained as a result of that negligent advice.

SURVEYORS

Surveyors advise on the sale value of a property and if they fail to take into account relevant information that was available, and the value is too low or too high, then you can consider taking action against them. They also prepare reports on properties for various reasons and, again, if you take a decision based upon a surveyor’s report, but that report is incorrect, you may have a claim against them in professional negligence which, if you have suffered a loss, is worth investigating. Each case is considered on its own merits and it is always essential to seek early advice on your legal position.

SOLICITORS

Solicitors are needed to assist people with much of their every day life. With buying their house, to preparing their will and, on occasion, to pursuing a claim when they have been wronged. In all these situations, solicitors are looking to protect their clients, exercising the requisite care and skill expected. If the client then finds that they have suffered a loss as a result of the work done by their solicitor, they must seek urgent independent legal advice so that their position is protected. If you are unsure of your legal position, contact us to discuss matters and we will talk through your options and the way forward.
