About Sophie Bignell-Edwards - Paralegal at Everys Solicitors

Sophie joined our Family Team as a Paralegal in 2024 and is based at our Exeter office. Sophie assists the team on all matters of Family Law including divorce, financial remedies, and domestic abuse.

Before joining Everys, Sophie worked as a Paralegal for a specialist family law firm. Sophie was awarded a 2:1 Honours in Classics from the University of Exeter and a distinction in her Graduate Diploma in Law from the University of Law. Sophie is currently studying the Legal Practice Course alongside a Master’s degree.

Sophie is experienced in supporting vulnerable clients through the court process, including supporting and advising at Final Hearings. Sophie has successfully assisted vulnerable clients in obtaining protective and financial orders.

Sophie understands the sensitive nature of Family Law and wants to ensure clients feel emotionally supported during difficult times whilst ensuring they receive clear legal advice. Sophie has been praised for her compassionate approach when dealing with clients.

Outside of the office, Sophie enjoys cooking, skiing, and spending time with her family and friends. Sophie has previously volunteered for LiP service, a pro-bono service that guides individuals who do not have legal representation through the Family Court process.
